Richmond, VA: Second Night

Another day is in the books!  Arrived at the hamfest about 7:30 so Dad could set up for his ticket/table selling.  I was prepared with reading material, puzzle books and 3x5 papers to fill out, and I filled in for the 3 guys when they went off elsewhere.  Attendance was very good at this hamfest, about 2500.  Arrived back at the trailer about 3:45 with time to relax before dinner.  At 5:30 P.M. we met with Rick and Jan for dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant for a relaxing dinner, then back to the trailer for a little visiting and Christmas gift exchange.  They had to leave about 8:15 to get dog food before going home, and we're now relaxing and doing our computer work.  Tomorrow we head south toward Florida.  The weather tonight is a little rainy, but very chilly.

RICHMOND, VA: First Night

Today started out busy as we finished loading the fiver for the first outing of the year, and we could finally relax during the 4 hour drive to Glen Allen, VA, just north of Richmond where we're camped at Kosmos Village http://www.kosmovillage.com/.  Just the basic setup here, but then that's all we need for this stay while we're in the area for the Richmond Frostfest tomorrow.  We went to the hamfest site (Richmond Raceway) about 6 P.M. to meet up with some Raleigh friends and then went to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. After a delicious dinner, including two free sundaes for the two birthday people at our table, and a free appertizer by my signing up for their email club, and of course lots of good conversation,  we waddled out of the restaurant late.  Now we're back at the trailer gearing up for tomorrow.  We're not selling our "stuff" here, although Dad is handling table and ticket sales for RARSfest in April, so no setup today, and no early wakeup call for in the morning, just so we get there by 8 A.M. ( I know.....that's early to some of you!)

So another fun day is history and we look forward to tomorrow's adventures.
