The first part of our stay at Travelers Rest went by quickly. We didn't do much that was exciting, but life doesn't have to be exciting to be enjoyable. With many friends staying here, and meeting new people everyday, conversation never lags. Hank continued to be very busy with his website work and Selene passes the time with computer interests and reading. TR has just about everything you need, other than a grocery store, but several days a week there are visits from a produce vendor, a bakery, and another vendor selling their wares. The Snack Shack is available for lunch Monday thru Saturday. The calendar is full of meetings and activities of all kinds, so there's not much time for boredom.
We enjoyed the free entertainment on two Sunday nights. On Jan. 14,
Harley Worthit provided down home comedy that had the audience laughing almost continuously.
He performed in Branson, MO for many years and now regularly appears in Pigeon Forge.
On January 21, Classic country vocalist
Steve Jeffris took the stage.
He is on his Florida tour with a heavy schedule of concert dates throughout the state.
Tuesday, January 23, it was time to raise the jacks and head to LazyDays RV Resort and dealership in Seffner, FLfor the 2018 Fleetwood Motor Home Eastern Rally......a 5 day event with many activities.
