This weekend (Nov. 8-11) there's a large horse show at the Hunt Horse Complex just down the hill, so once again the campground appears to be full with many horse trailers in the adjoining parking area. There's also a rally of Airstream owners near us, including two friends we met through ham radio.
Our purpose in staying in Raleigh for two weeks was to enjoy the company of friends we left behind in 2014, when we sold our house in nearby Fuquay Varina, and we'll continue to do more of that until we leave here on Sunday, Nov. 19. We've had a broken inside door handle on the car replaced, renewed our vehicle insurance for the RV and car, and picked up mail shipments. Yesterday, Hank had his quarterly blood test, we picked up prescriptions, and visited our storage unit. The fall weather has ranged from sunny with highs near 80 when we arrived, to rain with highs in the 40's, and there was a hard freeze by early this morning. Fall has definitely arrived in the City of Oaks!
