DECEMBER 17 - 22: Family Time in Our Old Home Town and Another Move

The reason for our  4 night stay in Shepherdsville, Kentucky was to visit with family and friends in nearby Louisville.  Louisville was our home until 1983 when we moved to Alabama for Hank's job with the phone company. As always, we had great times visiting with various family members, and, of course, we shared delicious meals.  We also visited with one of Selene's former neighbors, Judy, who we hadn't seen for over 50 years.  Another day we  visited with two of Selene's old friends, Rosie and Pat. We hadn't seen Pat in over 50 years as well.

Time with family and friends always goes by too quickly. Thursday morning, December 21, we got on the road early (for us) to head south to central Alabama.  Hank decided to make the trip in one day since we had the time zone change in our favor, allowing us to get through Birmingham before rush hour and to get set up in our campsite before dark.

We're now settled in at the Minooka Park campground, south of Jemison, AL for almost two weeks as we celebrate the holidays with our immediate family and many others.
