CONCORD, NC; Another City, Another Hamfest

It didn't take long to get Little House ready to roll this morning.  We left Spartanburg, SC around 10:30 and arrived at the Carabbus Arena in Concord, NC about 100 miles and a little over two hours later. We are here for the Charlotte Hamfest which starts tomorrow afternoon and ends on Saturday.  There are full hookup facilities for RV's at the rear of the buildings, which is very convenient because there are no campgrounds nearby. Tonight, there is one other RV here, but more will arrive tomorrow.  The weather tonight is wet and cold with sleet and freezing rain expected, and very gusty winds.  Tomorrow's forecast is not much better, although it will warm up to the low 40's. Saturday should be a beautiful day with 60 degree temperatures.  The hamfest activities are all inside, so weather is not too big of a concern as long as the roads aren't icy.

We'll be here until Sunday when we'll make our way to Asheboro, NC.
