Galax, VA: Second Night

We had another early start to our day because neither one of us could sleep.  Temperatures dipped to the mid-thirties by daybreak, and it was crisp and sunny all day - beautiful fall weather and the tree colors are changing daily.

After doing some cleaning, Selene spent the morning doing laundry in the campground's facility.  The washer/dryer combo in Little House is convenient but very small,  and with bed linens and some heavy clothing to wash, it was much quicker to use the larger machines.  This campground doesn't have a set price for using their equipment - just a donation box on the wall - and this is the only campground we've been to with this policy. Hank set up the large chapter sign outside and worked on the computer.  The afternoon was mostly spent visiting with our chapter members as they arrived.  We expect three more couples to arrive tomorrow.  Tonight, the group went to Micado's for dinner.  The menu has more sandwich choices than anyplace else we've been.  Everyone cleaned their plates or took leftovers with them.

Because our day started early, bedtime is not far off.  Tomorrow should be another beautiful day here in the southernmost Virginia mountains.
