Yesterday (Sunday), we said our farewells to our chapter members as we all prepared to hit the road. One of the couples was also headed to Tom Johnson's Camping Center in Marion, NC for some step repairs and they pulled into TJ's shortly after we set up on site 58. We enjoyed a nice dinner with them at Fatz Cafe, then returned to the RV to relax after another busy day.
This morning we woke to heavy rain. This was the day to turn Little House over to the TJ staff to get it's new rubber roof installed. TJ offered us a 'loaner' camper to stay in while Little House stays in the service bay for the next few days. That meant we had to take whatever we thought we might need out of Little House, put it in the Tahoe, then load it into the 'loaner' once they put it on our campsite. Luckily the rain slacked off so we could load the Tahoe and get Little House in line for service by 8 A.M without getting too wet. We had breakfast and lunch with our friends, as well as using our computers, until the 'loaner' was ready about 1:30 P.M.
We're in a 2013 CoachmenCatalina trailer - similar to the model 30QBS. - which has sleeping spots for about 8, with the bunk room in the rear (arranged differently from what's shown), so we have plenty of room, just in a different arrangement than what we're used to.
The morning rain gave way to another beautiful fall day in western NC as the fall colors continue to deepen on the hillsides around us. Tomorrow we'll check on the roofing progress and get some additional items out of the coach. This promises to be an interesting week.
