Today dawned cloudy so it was not as cool as yesterday morning. After a leisurely morning and some conversation with our friends, we headed out to go to the post office and CVS, then Hank headed the Tahoe into the hills to visit some of the back country. It was a beautiful drive as the fall colors are increasing daily, and the rural landscape was picture postcard material. After arriving back at the campground, Hank had to prepare for tomorrow's chapter meeting, Selene made a pineapple coffee cake, did computer 'stuff" and we worked in a few visits with friends as well.
Tonight's supper was a group effort. The campground owner provided the meat and some of the side dishes, another chapter did more side dishes and desserts, and our chapter also did desserts. The feast included pork and beef barbeque, hot dogs, baked beans, two kinds of slaw, grilled pineapple, grilled cabbage, and the many desserts. After dinner, we welcomed the last-arriving chapter member of our group, then sat around getting to know some of the other chapter's members.
The only negative feature of this campground is that cell phone signals are not reliable.. Luckily the campground wi-fi is good.
Today was not full of exciting activities, but it was a beautiful, enjoyable, relaxing day. Tomorrow promises to be the same.
