It was an interesting day. We left Gaffney around 9:30 A.M. to head to Marion, NC via Hwy. 11 and 221, about 45 miles through the countryside and into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the leaves are starting to change so fall has arrived in this part of the country. Our destination was Tom Johnson's Camping Center, a large RV dealership and camping faciltiy. We will be on the property until Sunday, Sept. 23 attending the NC Samboree which starts on Wednesday at the Rally Park. We have 3 nights of free camping in the regular campground courtesy of a friend who couldn't use the needed coupon. Our slide seal problem will also be addressed while we're here. We pulled in front of site #2 to unhook the Tahoe and it had a dead battery, so back to the parking area to recharge it from the coach's batteries. We got that problem taken care of and settled into our site. After lunch, we relaxed with computers while the washer/dryer did several loads of laundry. The evening was a quiet one and we went to sleep to the sound of rain hitting the roof..
